Cryptocurrency platform Apifiny announced Thursday that it’s adding two blue-ribbon members to its board of directors, apparently aiming to strengthen investor confidence in the company’s governance ahead of a planned go-public move.The firm said it’s appointed longtime Ernst & Young executive Laurence Charney to the board as audit-committee chairman, while Microsoft veteran Samuel Shen will serve on the board’s compensation committee.Charney worked for 37 years at accounting giant Ernst & Young as a senior audit partner, practice leader and senior adviser. He also served on Marvel Entertainment’s board until Walt Disney Co. acquired the business in 2009.Shen worked for 23 years at Microsoft, most significantly as chief operating officer and managing director the Asia-Pacific Research & Development Group’s Cloud & Enterprise Group.
