Riot Blockchain June bitcoin production more than quintuples from a year ago

South_agency/E+ via Getty Images Riot Blockchain (RIOT) produces 243 bitcoin (BTC-USD) in June, up five-fold from the 48 bitcoin it produced in June 2020, as bitcoin miners exited China. YTD, Riot has produced a total of 1,167 bitcoin, more than double its pre-halving bitcoin production of 508 in the same period in 2020. As of June 30, Riot holds ~2,243 bitcoin. Riot stock rises 0.4% in after-hours trading. With its acquisition of Whinstone U.S., Riot started developing 400 MW of additional capacity, part of its plans to expand the Whinstone facility by 750 MW. it expects that the first portion of its expansion will be completed by Q1 2022 and the balance by Q2 2022. The expanded mining infrastructure at Whinstone is expected to comprise four new buildings totaling 240K square feet with capacity to support 130,000 S19j Antminers. By month's end, Riot expects to have a total of 23,946 Antminers in
