kasinv/iStock Editorial via Getty Images Amazon ([[AMZN]] +0.4%) signals its interest in accepting cryptocurrency for payment with a job posting for a digital currency and blockchain product lead. "We believe the future will be built on new technologies that enable modern, fast, and inexpensive payments, and hope to bring that future to Amazon customers as soon as possible," the company said, as reported by Business Insider's Eugene Kim. The Amazon job description is a little less direct: "The Payments Acceptance & Experience team is seeking an experienced product leader to develop Amazon’s Digital Currency and Blockchain strategy and product roadmap." The ecommerce giant says the new hire will "own the vision and strategy for Amazon’s Digital Currency and Blockchain strategy and product roadmap." Earlier this week, Elon Musk said Tesla will "most likely" resume accepting bitcoin for payments once there's more due diligence on the crypto's energy usage.
